Canon challenged Hayes Media to identify a fast-growing market and create a campaign that demonstrated the capabilities of its entry-level cameras and lenses. Through market research, we identified the automotive creator space as one of the most influential and rapidly expanding niches in content creation. To bring the campaign to life, we partnered with Jaden Mailich, a respected automotive photographer known for capturing world-class imagery using an entry-level Canon camera. The concept centred around proving that Canon’s accessible gear is more than capable of keeping up with the speed, precision, and demands of supercar photography. Using a McLaren as the hero subject, the campaign combined authentic creator storytelling with premium automotive visuals to inspire aspiring photographers and drive product sales.
The strategy was to position Canon’s entry-level cameras as powerful tools for serious creators by leveraging a trusted voice within the automotive content space. Rather than relying on traditional product-focused advertising, we built the campaign around authentic creator-led storytelling, showing how Jaden Mailich uses accessible Canon gear to capture professional-quality supercar imagery. This content was distributed through organic social media, paid advertising, email marketing, YouTube, and a dedicated landing page, creating a full-funnel campaign designed to inspire aspiring photographers, educate potential buyers, and convert high-intent traffic into sales.
