he VELOCE Summer Tour 2025 wasn’t just a rally — it was a five-day celebration of supercar culture, luxury hospitality, and unforgettable human connection. With over 30 elite supercars, 60 incredible guests, and five-star experiences from coast to winelands, Hayes Media had the privilege of capturing every moment of it — from the mountain roads to the Michelin-calibre meals.
Our journey began with something simple: branding the tour cars with custom stickers and insignias, setting the tone for what would be a visually cohesive, high-impact rally. With camera gear rolling, we followed the convoy through Bainskloof and other mountain passes, capturing rollers, drone footage, and candid lifestyle content that set the energy for the days ahead. Every moment was intentional. Every shot, cinematic.
We arrived early at Arabella Hotel & Spa in Hermanus in our crew vehicle, setting up to capture the arrival of the supercars — discreetly trucked in under wraps, and revealed in true VELOCE fashion. Once we achieved the perfect shot, we prepared for the braai-style welcome dinner, where guests were greeted with custom welcome packs for the journey ahead. Over the next two nights, we followed the convoy on scenic drives — including a stunning cruise to Nuy on the Hill for lunch, where we deployed drones and gimbals to capture the convoy against a backdrop of open roads and vineyards.
As the tour made its way toward Asara Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, we stopped for photos, rollers, and roadside storytelling — moments of laughter, conversation, and community. At Hussar Grill, we joined guests for a casual pre-arrival lunch, before checking into Asara — where an unexpected twist gave us the chance to capture something truly special: a proposal booked on the spot. With just hours to plan, we produced a heartfelt photography + videography moment the couple will never forget. Later that evening, we shot golden hour drone footage of the winelands, set to the rhythm of a fine-dining experience under the stars.
Even with a scheduled off-day, our cameras never stopped. We joined guests at JC Le Roux for a private tasting experience — capturing candid content and lifestyle visuals to highlight the community built over the past few days.
On the final day, the convoy made its way from the winelands to the coast — driving Chapman’s Peak in what was arguably the most cinematic stretch of the entire tour. We followed the supercars through the winding sea cliffs, deploying multiple drones and on-road shooters to ensure every turn was captured in motion. The evening closed at The Pepper Club Hotel in Cape Town CBD, where we hosted the grand finale dinner — complete with group photos, award presentations, and an atmosphere that felt like family.
From Lamborghini SVJs to Ferrari 812s, AMG Black Series, Porsche GT4RSs, and a long list of bespoke builds — this was one of South Africa’s most impressive automotive line-ups to date.
And we made sure the world saw it that way.
