Hayes Media Captures Guinness World Record with TopGear SA & Nissan Navara Warrior
In one of the most rugged and rewarding expeditions ever attempted, Hayes Media proudly partnered with TopGear South Africa and Nissan to document a record-breaking journey that pushed both people and machines to their limits. Over 5 relentless days, we joined the mission to break the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous off-road journey—successfully conquered in the formidable Nissan Navara Warrior by Premcar.

The Route: Deep into the Richtersveld
The adventure began at the start of the Namakwa 4×4 Trail, a wild, off-the-grid route winding through the dramatic landscapes of the Richtersveld in South Africa. With no shortcuts, no tar, and no room for error, we powered through over 1,000 kilometres of non-stop off-road terrain. Camping under the stars, crossing rivers, and rising with the sun, this wasn’t just a drive—it was a challenge to prove what the Navara Warrior, and our team, could endure.

Capturing Every Moment: Hayes Media’s Role
Our role? To capture every gritty, beautiful second of the journey—through cinematic videography, striking photography, and immersive drone visuals. For 5 days, we travelled with the crew, waking before dawn, setting up and packing down camps, and keeping pace with every stretch of trail—sleeping beside the Orange River and filming from some of the most remote corners of the country. At one point, our CEO Michael even swam across the river to greet Namibia, just because… that’s the kind of energy this trip brought out of everyone involved.
The Reward: A Guinness World Record
There was no official time pressure—but the goal was clear: cross the 1,000km off-road mark and etch our names in history. And we did exactly that. The Guinness World Record was officially awarded, and the story of this journey now lives on through every frame, every photo, and every memory we helped preserve.

Why This Matters to Us
This wasn’t glamorous. It was dirty. Exhausting. Real.
But it’s exactly what we love—immersing ourselves in the story and capturing the soul of something unforgettable. For Hayes Media, this wasn’t just a production job. It was a chance to be part of something bigger—something bold, brave, and historic.
